RESUMO:

This intervention research aims to promote pedagogical actions with an emphasis on language practices: orality, reading and writing; with literature as its central axis. It is known that society, reading and literature are intertwined, and this last search awakens in the reader pleasure, taste, criticality, humanization, otherness, emotion, and cultural refinement, in addition to contributing to the formation of the student as a citizen. . Reading or listening to the narrative of a literary text is one of the ways that allows man to become aware of the ills present in society. Thus, literature is an instrument that, in addition to offering entertainment and information, often reveals to us through fiction various social injustices such as racial segregation, violence, poverty and racism present in society. To encourage reflections on the last example mentioned, the intervention project will be supported by the work A cor da ternura (1998), by writer Geni Guimarães, whose central theme is racial prejudice that is evident through the color phenotype. In this way, the expected results of this intervention are to create conditions based on oral and written narratives that raise students' perception of the importance of respect for the dignity of the human person regardless of skin color. Intertwined with this objective, encouraging questions about social values, feelings such as rejection, exclusion and especially acceptance of one's own body in conversation circles. For all activities, the skills: speaking, reading and writing will be the basis, as as important as the previous objective, conducting teaching that includes these skills is the key to meaningful learning in the lives of students, as it is essential that they perceive the contributions of each modality in different social spaces. The implementation of the project will be carried out with students in the 8th year of Elementary School at the Escola Estadual Cívico Militar Senador Mário Motta, located in the city of Cáceres – MT. To achieve the objective, I will seek support in theories from authors such as Antonio Candido de Mello e Souza (2012), Cléo Busatto (2003), Kabengele Munanga (2005), Maria Helena Martins (1994), Isabel Solé (2014), Rildo Cosson ( 2021), Vincent Jouve (2002), Walter Benjamin (1985) among other scholars whose line of research meets the development of this research, which aims to improve the Portuguese language teaching-learning process and contribute to intellectual formation, personal and social status of students.
