RESUMO:

The present dissertation has as a theme “Cartography of Movements of the Riverside/Pantanal Student Bodies from Ilha do Rio Piraim: Transport and School,” and it was developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education at UNEMAT, in the line of research Education and Diversity. We aim to map the movements of the Riverside/Pantanal Student Bodies on the route to school, by boat and bus, identifying repeating beams that reflect a unique Pantanal way of life, as well as beams that guarantee them changing, hybrid and mutant identities, typical of the present time. We question: how do these students fit in and constitute themselves in the educational context, given the challenges and particularities of their reality? Is there a bundle of Pantanal identity inhabiting them? Which lines of subjectivity can be identified before entering the school machinery? The research, of a qualitative nature, was developed with 14 students from Ilha do Piraim, city of Barão de Melgaço - MT, aged 3 to 14 years old, who use river and land transport to get to schools. This dissertation was structured in five stages: Presentation of the theme, methodological highlight, historical-cultural context of the locations where the riverside student bodies are, analysis of central concepts and cartography of developments in school transport. Records were made through direct observation, recorded conversation, photography and recording in a field notebook. The theoretical intercessors that move the dissertation are: Barros (1996, 2000, 2010, 2015,2020), Candau (2005, 2016), Deleuze and Guattari (1995, 2007, 2011, 2019), Hall (2003, 2006, 2009), Larrosa (2000, 2002, 2003, 2018, 2022,), Maldonado (2009,2017, 2023), Silva (2004, 2009), among others. We identified that riverside students from Ilha do Piraim have identities strongly linked to the Pantanal, while they present hybrid, changing and mutant characteristics, revealing themselves as a rhizome in constant expansion, where unique experiences intertwine as lines of scaping.
