This dissertation is the result of the research “RELIGIOUS/SPIRITUAL SUBJECTIVATION IN SCHOOL SPACE-TIME: PROBLEMATIZATIONS FROM THIRD YEAR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS” produced in the academic master’s program in education at the State University of Mato Grosso (PPGEdu/UNEMAT) and aimed to problematize relations of knowledge-power and truth present in discursive and non-discursive practices of the various religiosities/spiritualities assumed by students in the Third Year of High School João Evaristo Curvo, in the municipality of Jauru/MT. I analyzed religious/spiritual and educational discursive regimes, based on central concepts from the work of French philosopher Michel Foucault (1979; 1984; 1996; 1999; 2008), such as knowledge-power-truth and subjectivation. The research also has as theoretical intercessors Nietzsche (2015; 2017; 2019; 2022), Deleuze and Guattari (1995), Deleuze and Parnet (1998), Larrosa (1994), Veiga-Neto (2016) and Fisher (2001; 2012). I used some tools made available by these authors to produce, initially, a cartographic exercise of Foucauldian concepts in order to understand the relationships of being-knowledge, being-power, and modes of subjectivation, to think later, as the belonging of a subject to a A certain religious/spiritual orientation moves discursive regimes and games of truth in their school experiences. I carried out an archaeogenealogical exercise, analyzing the following discursive practices: letters from the Jesuit Father Manoel da Nóbrega, Transcripts of Public Hearing No. 17, held by the Federal Supreme Court Minister Luís Roberto Barroso on July 15, 2015 and national and state educational documents from Mato Grosso. This exercise pointed out encounters, permanences, ruptures, conditions of possibilities for the emergence of discourses regarding education, school, religion, religiosity and spirituality. These theoretical-methodological tools also allowed me to problematize how discursive control mechanisms come into play in the order of discourse, selecting and excluding, in knowledge-power relations, statements that objectify, conform, standardize and produce disciplined subjects. The empirical research with students was carried out using as instruments a Spiritual Well-Being Scale (EBE) questionnaire and an unstructured interview script to understand how the discourses that circulate in these spaces affect their bodies and minds, constituting them as subjects endowed with morality. I concluded that the knowledge-power that circulates in religious spaces is productive and can be perceived in the school experiences of Third Year High School students, the subjects researched here.
